Yes, we've arrived in Newport. It was a fairly uneventful journey, a lovely smooth ferry crossing to Pembroke courtesy of Irish Ferries, and a reasonably traffic - free run from there to here. Many thanks to all of you who have prayed for us, we really do appreciate your support.
I should explain that this is RICHARD writing tonight - we are both going to contribute to the same BLOG even though the profile is that of Annmarie. We won't both always contribute, but at least one of us will write something daily from 1st to 30th June.
We are having a relaxing evening, looking forward to the wedding tomorrow. It will be great to catch up with family and friends again. We pray that God will bless Matthew and Kate as they get married and throughout their life together.
Many thanks, too, to those who have prayed about my toothache. I had the offending tooth out yesterday, much less painful than I anticipated, but I am on a 5 day course of fairly strong anti - biotics, so hopefully after that things will be fully sorted. I should then be fit and ready to start the placement.
Please keep reading this, and tell anyone else you think might be interested to do the same. We'll post again soon.

T minus 24 hours... ish (and it's a big ISH)
We're in the last stages of preparing for departure to Newport.
My 'to do' list is getting longer as I tick things off. I'm sure there's a quantum physics explanation for that one somewhere!!!
We've kept Richard's 'to do' list a lot shorter. It was mainly...
Finish second year in Bible College with all your assignments in on time.
Well he can tick that one off as of today. Well done honey :)
It has been over shadowed a little by a horrible toothache that kept him awake most of last night and the night before. So before we leave the country he has a trip to the dentist. We'd apprciate your prayers for a swift resolution... whatever that might mean!
The other subject on our mind has been where to go when we get back from Wales. For a few months now we have been discussing whether we should use the 6 weeks away to make a break from living with my dad. It hasn't been an easy decision. My dad is no picnic but there have been benefits too. But we think it's time. So while packing for 6 weeks we've been packing for good in some ways. Just today, we agreed on an apartment and it's a real answer to prayer to have that one sorted out before we go.
God's usual 11th hour dealings with us :)
So tomorrow's plan is:
Rich to the dentist
Amo to the Eye and Ear hospital for a check up on my new Cornea
Rich playing at a wedding
A quick visit (hopefully) to the new apt for one last look
Pack the car and go....
See what I meant when I said ish!?

Preparing for the off...
We've set this blog up so that you can keep up to date with what we are up to while we are in Wales for the month of June.
In case you haven't heard.... we are going to our former church in South Wales, Malpas Road Evangelical Church (MREC) on a month's placement.
There is a full agenda for us while we are there. Rich will be preaching and leading some men's meetings. Annmarie will be leading some ladies Bible studies and speaking at the Ladies Summer Outreach meal at the end of June. We'll be leading some meetings together such as Senior Fellowship and Luncheon Club. There'll also be plenty of visits with lots of tea (and cake hopefully).
At the moment we are not so much 'packing' as contemplating the concept of packing.
And of course praying for God to help us with all we have to do. We want to be blessed and be a blessing to others.
We'd love you to follow the blog and pray with us.
Please feel free to leave comments too.
